Bryan Angus

Lino Print Artist

Bryan Angus is a Gray’s School of Art graduate based in Banff on the north Aberdeenshire coast.

 

A skilled lino printmaker, he is particularly influenced by 20th century Scottish and English landscape artists and the illustration traditions that preceded them.

 

The bulk of his work is inspired by the drama of his local land and weather, enriched by the history of the people and their towns. Bryan has exhibited across the world, has published several books and has had residencies in Turkey, Norway and Italy.

Ieuan Edwards

Lino Print Artist

Ieuan Edwards is a linocut printmaker renowned for his expressive, hand-carved works that blend traditional methods with contemporary storytelling. He employs high-quality archival materials to produce works that are both visually striking and enduring. He founded The Black Gold Press in 2013, working out of his Margate studio. As well as creating limited edition fine art prints, he has provided illustrations for a range of musicians, poets, publishers and record labels.

He has exhibited widely in the UK, as well as Australia and the USA and is represented by a number of commercial galleries. Key exhibitions include:

  • Summer Exhibition, Royal Academy, London 2022

  • Turner Contemporary Open, Margate 2021–2022

Chris Pig

Lino Print Artist

Chris Pig has been an artist printmaker for over 40 years. After studying his MA in Barcelona with Winchester School of Art, he became principal lecturer in Printmaking at City and Islington College for seven years, He left to set up his own studio in Córdoba where he lived for six years before returning to London and working at East London Printmakers. 

 

He is now director of Black Pig Printmaking Studio with work in public and private collections throughout the world, including:

 

  • Guangdong Museum of Art, China

  • Douro Museum of Printmaking, Portugal

  • National Museum of Contemporary Printmaking, Marbella, Spain

  • Ashmolean Museum, Oxford

  • Pallant House Gallery, Chichester

  • British Museum, London

David Robertson

Wood Engraver

David Robertson is an artist who specialises in wood engraving. David walks and sketches in the countryside, creating engravings from these drawings back in his studio. 

 

David is an award winning artist, associate member of the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers and member of the Society of Wood Engravers. His work is held in private collections around the world and public collections including:

 

  • Ashmolean Museum, Oxford

  • Manchester Metropolitan University

  • Royal Collections Trust, Windsor Castle

  • Central Academy Fine Art, Beijing

Callum Russell

Lino Print Artist

Callum Russell is an Edinburgh based artist who specialises in linocut printmaking. He studied illustration at University College Falmouth, and Contemporary Art at Edinburgh College of Art. 

 

His limited edition fine art prints typically depict city landscapes and explore the psychogeographical connection between people and the urban environment.
